Before You Read

From experience.
To perspective.

These articles draw on my personal and professional experiences and reflect my perspective and the questions I find myself asking; occasionally, they also stem from questions that leaders actually ask: in meeting rooms, over a coffee, informally, or after a meeting has ended.

They are based on psychology, economics and many years of working in the retail, hospitality, branding and international markets sectors. Each one deliberately ends with three questions, because the most useful thing an article can do is to leave the reader thinking and perhaps to prompt them to ask their team some questions on Monday morning.

When an observation stems from work with a client, the client’s name is not disclosed. This is not an omission. It is simply how we work.
